“It was a test we could all hope to pass, but none of us would want to take. Faced with the choice to deny God to live… for her, there was one choice to make.
This was her time, this was her dance; She lived every moment; left nothing to chance. She swam in the sea, drank of the deep; embraced the mystery of all she could be. This was her time...
Though you are mourning and grieving with us, death died a long time ago; swallowed in life so that life carries on. Still it’s so hard to let go.
This was her time, this was her dance; she lived every moment; left nothing to chance. She swam in the sea, drank of the deep; embraced the mystery of all she could be. This was her time...
What if tomorrow, and what if today, faced with the question, oh what would you say? This is your time, this is your dance; live every moment, leave nothing to chance. Swim in the sea, drink of the deep; follow the mercy and hear yourself praying.
Won’t you save me? Won’t you save me?
This is your time, this is your dance; live every moment, leave nothing to chance. Swim in the sea, drink of the deep; embrace the mystery of all you can be. This is your time.”
This song never fails to affect me. Every time I listen to it, I find myself wondering if I am living as if it was my last day. Am I doing all that I can to serve my Lord and King? And if I were faced with the choice of denying Him or giving my life, what would my decision be? Would I be willing to give up my life for Him?
Christ gave his life for me. He was willing to undergo death on the cross for the salvation of His chosen people. What kind of repayment would it be to not be willing to do the same for Him? The Bible tells us that to die is “very much better”, for in death we leave a sinful and fallen world to be with our God forever, and to dwell in perfect happiness in His Presence.
Our time on earth is to be used to promote His Kingdom, and to bring glory to His Name. While we, as Christians, long to be with our great King we must use the days and years that He gives to us to labor for Him. We should live every day as if it were our last on this world, and give our everything to the One above.
“Faced with the question, now what would you say?” In Christ, we have no fear of death, but rather look forward to it as, in death, we will finally look upon our God face-to-face. We must fall upon Him and Him alone, and no matter the cost we must live our lives, and die our deaths, for Him.
“This is your time, this is your dance, live every moment, leave nothing to chance. Swim in the sea, drink of the deep, embrace the mystery of all you can be. This is your Time.”
