Memories
Over the last month or so, I have become completely obsessed with the band Within Temptation. I think I first heard of them about a year ago when I saw a Phantom of the Opera music video set to Angels. Shortly after that, I saw another Phantom vid set to It's The Fear. I saved both videos and listened to those songs repeatedly for awhile, and then pretty much forgot about them.
And then, just a few weeks (or maybe it's been months, I don't know!) ago, I heard Memories. Aaaaand I totally fell in love with that band... They are quite amazing. Some other favorites are Somewhere, Our Farewell, Stand My Ground, Jillian (Give My Heart), and Our Solemn Hour. Bittersweet is also quite beautiful.
But yes, they are a fantastic band. Somewhat like Nightwish in style (they're both goth), but Sharon's voice is quite different from Tarja's. I love their music!! I also happen to adore the official music video for Memories. Which is saying a lot, as I generally despise music videos. This one happens to be awesome, though. Here it is on youtube:

They're epic metal. similar, but much different from Gothic metal.
But yeah, Memories is an awesome song, Final V has to cover it.

I think goth is more or less defined as anything that sounds different from established metal, such as "death" or "heavy." Preferably with real orchestration. Which is really dumb, but there you have it.
Who is this Final V? And why do they suddenly sound so awesome?

Aren't they awesome, Chris?? And yeah, bleh, WT's stuff is very expensive. Isn't The Silent Force $40 or something??
That's the CD I recommend, though. Out of all the songs I've heard, I've liked the ones from The Silent Force the best. *nod*
