Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow...
Saying goodbye to your friends is never easy. In fact, it's almost impossibly hard. Especially when you know that you will most likely never talk to them again.
I had my last Grammar & Composition class today, and I was actually astonished at how much I cried as everyone said goodbye to each other... You really don't realize how much you love people until you have to say goodbye to them.
I had become extremely attached to Mrs. T, and to all of my fellow students over the course of this year, and saying goodbye was really hard. Even though I did manage to attain a few of their email addresses, I know it won't be the same. Never again will we have incredibly off-topic tangents that make us die laughing. Never again will we hear Mrs. T give her hilarious exclamation of: "Thanks a LOT, Troxell!" Never again will we be subjected to the plottings of the evil David and his angelic twin. Never again will we see Alyssa's insanely long, but amazingly encouraging and helpful comments when we do peer reviews. Never again will the Davids and the Chrises have to ask Mrs. T: "WHICH ONE? L or C? L or S?"
God has blessed me so amazingly with this class. He gave me a wonderful teacher who made even the dullest concepts enjoyable. He gave me hilarious and helpful fellow students who kept the class intriguing (and random!). I can't even begin to thank Him for the incredible blessing this class was to me... I learned so much. And, wonder of wonders, I grew to love labeling word functions, AND diagraming! Hooray for hoogie boxes! Stair-step highrises! Highrise slash-heads! Only Mrs. T could make diagramming so much fun...
Thank you heavenly Father, for giving me this class. I have learned more in these 32 classes then I thought was possible. Thank you for my fellow students, and for my wonderful teacher. Thank you for all the valuable lessons you have taught me through this class--for the overseas students' amazing stories, for Mrs. T's faithful guidance... You are so good...
