Neglect
ne‧glect[ni-glekt] –verb (used with object)
Wow, I can hardly believe that it's been over a month since I posted on my blog . . . I'm afraid that my xanga took priority in my blogging habits, and I've been neglecting my "real" blog. For that I am terribly sorry.
Not much has been happening in my life lately--one of the reasons for the lack of updates. (After all, I'd rather not post at all then post boring stuff and drive my viewers away!) Perhaps two of the most exciting things that happened in the past month are in relation to Harry Potter... that's right, you guessed it--both Order of the Phoenix and Deathly Hallows came out this month!!
My brother, sister, dad, and I, along with three friends, went and saw Order of the Pheonix at midnight on the 10th/11th. What a fantastic experience! We had an absolute blast... if you care to hear/read more about that night, you can check out my xanga--I wrote a quite enthusiastic "review" of the night.
I also read Deathly Hallows (in its entirity) last Monday. I would have read it on Saturday (the day it came out), but since it is my brother's birthday present, I thought I should probably let him read it first... So, I tried to wait patiently, and then read it on Monday. It was amazing! In my opinion, it's the best of the series. It's quite depressing at times (I was shocked at how many characters she killed!!), but it leaves you with the most satisfied feeling. . . Jo really did a great job with it, and I think at least most of her fans are still that--her fans! Really a great book. I loved it...
So, those were two highlights of my month. Shawnzo also came and spent the weekend with us a couple of weeks back (we got another group together and went to see OotP again while he was here), so that was great fun. We also had our church picnic, which was a blast, too. We got in a huge water fight that day, so I was soaking wet by the time we were driving home... but it was worth it! We all had a great time, I do declare.
And that's about it... at least, that's all I can think of. One thing I'm looking forward to: we leave for Lake Tahoe in less then two weeks!! This is always a highlight of my year, and I absolutely cannot wait to go... it should be a fantastic vacation, as always. I'll take lots of pictures (we always do!) and post some when we get back.
Now I must leave you all... for now, at least. I will try and update more frequently from now on, but no promises! You know how I am... >_>
Cheers!
